Lev Gumilyov Eurasian National University is one of the leading universities in the Republic of Kazakhstan with a quarter-century history. L.N. Gumilyov ENU is a member of the International Academy of Higher Education Sciences, the Eurasian Association of Universities and the Association of International Studies of the CIS and Baltic Countries, the International Association of Universities and the European Association of Higher Education Institutions. In 2005, the university signed the Magna Carta of the Universities of Europe in Bologna (Italy). In 2004, for success in integration activities, the International Foundation, with the support of the Swiss government, awarded the university staff gold medals "For impeccable business reputation" and "For High Quality in Business Practice". In 2005, at Oxford University, L.N. Gumilyov ENU was awarded the prestigious international medal "United Europe". In 2006, he was awarded the Socrates International Award for his Contribution to the Intellectual Development of Modern Society (Oxford). In 2007, he was awarded the gold star "Best CIS Company". ENU is among the TOP 400 best universities in the world according to the QS agency. The University ranks first in the General Ranking of the TOP 20 universities of Kazakhstan and is among the three leaders of the National Ranking of the best multidisciplinary universities in the country. The educational programs of L.N. Gumilyov ENU occupy leading positions in national and international rankings. International cooperation is carried out on the basis of 116 agreements with foreign universities, research centers and other scientific organizations of the European Union, America and Oceania, Asia and Africa, CIS countries, international scientific and educational foundations, embassies and representative offices in Kazakhstan. In 2001, the Kazakh branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University was opened on the basis of L.N. Gumilyov ENU. The first Kazakh university started implementing a two-degree master's degree within the framework of the Network University of the CIS countries and the University of the SCO countries. Educational activities at the L.N. Gumilyov ENU are conducted according to a three-level system of personnel training: bachelor's degree - master's degree - PhD doctorate. The University consists of 13 faculties (Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, Faculty of Information Technology, University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Philology, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of International Relations, Faculty of Physics and Technology, Faculty of Journalism and Political Science, Faculty of History and Faculty of Transport and Energy). There is also a military department that provides training in two military accounting specialties. To date, the university has 28 scientific departments, which conduct scientific research in natural-technical and socio-humanitarian areas. The main direction of research activity is participation in solving issues of fundamental science, as well as priority areas of socio-economic development of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Students take part in the management of the university, solving various issues of the university's activities and representing the interests of students before the management. The Center for Youth Policy has been established, which deals with the development of youth policy at the L.N. Gumilyov ENU, social protection of students, participation in national and regional youth organizations. Conditions have been created for the creative development of the student's personality. The creative association operates in the following areas: vocal and instrumental ensemble, orchestra, show ballet, theater, KVN, debate club, volunteer centers. A TV and radio studio has been opened.
