On October 20-21, 2020, the Center for the Bologna Process and Academic Mobility of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan held the International Forum "Global in the Regional: Kazakhstan in the Bologna Process and EU Projects".

The purpose of the forum is to summarize the results of Kazakhstan's 10-year participation in the Bologna process, the results of the Tempus and Erasmus + projects and to determine the vectors for the further development of the higher education system.

The event was attended by over 300 people.

The participants of the event: representatives of the academic elite, heads of universities and world-renowned associations, government bodies and public organizations, European experts, including representatives of the European Commission, Council of Europe, Bologna Process Secretariat (BFUG).

The event was held online on the Zoom platform.

Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.K. Aimagambetov opened the event with a welcoming speech to the Forum participants.

The forum was attended by Vice Minister of Education and Science M.M. Daulenov, Vice Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic

Uzbekistan U.Sh.Begimkulov, Head of the Cooperation Department of the Delegation of the European Union in Kazakhstan Johannes Stenbaek Madsen, Head of the Education Department of the Council of Europe Sjur Bergan, Program Manager at the European Commission's Directorate General for Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Adrian Veale, Deputy Chairman of the Bologna Observatory process (BFUG) Anne Katherine Isaacs, Secretary General of the Magna Carta Universities Observatory David Lock, as well as representatives of leading universities in Central Asia and experts in higher education from the USA, Turkey, Latvia, Poland, Bulgaria, Ukraine, South Korea, etc.

During the speech of the Vice Minister M. Daulenov noted the successful implementation of the main parameters of the Bologna process.
