Established in 1928, Abai KazNPU is the first higher education institution in the country. The main task of Abai University is qualitative training of pedagogical staff of a new formation, competitive, progressively thinking, with creative, creative attitude to themselves and society. Today, the Pedagogical University of the Republic of Kazakhstan has seven institutes which provide professional training in 95 programs of Bachelor's degree, 79 - Master's degree and 43 - Doctoral degree. Abai University is ranked at the top of the national rankings in the field of Educational Sciences (IAAR, IQAA). The teaching staff of the university is the author of 827 school and 231 university textbooks and 339 manuals. University is the leader in the number of publications in the Web of Science Core Collection for the last 5 years among teacher training universities. Based on its best traditions, the University trains educators who anticipate the demands of modern education, actively uses the latest industry technologies, best practices, national heritage and global experience. Abai University is the involved university, which aims to solve specific problems of education in Almaty and the country as a whole, and increases the prestige of the teaching profession and serves as a driver of human capital development, forming the scientific and pedagogical elite of Kazakhstan. Graduate students and doctoral students, young scientists have all possibilities to be engaged in scientific work and realization of actual research projects. Many of them are winners of various competitions, grants and honorary titles. Abai University has a high employment rate for its graduates - 95%, and almost all of them work according to their specialty.
