University of International Business is a specialized humanitarian and economic university in Almaty that trains specialists in the field of management and marketing, finance and accounting, economics and international relations, ecology and tourism, state and municipal administration, information systems, social work, sociology, psychology and journalism . The university forms an innovative environment for providing fundamental skills in the conditions of the developing world and the age of digitalization, offering high-quality educational services and services for students in accordance with international standards. UIB is one of the first business universities in the Republic of Kazakhstan, established in 1992 as the Republican School of Business, in 2001 it was transformed into the University of International Business. UIB is a unified school of continuing business education, which includes undergraduate, graduate, doctoral (PhD), MBA and DBA programs. In 2010, the UIB launched a double-degree education program under signed agreements with the Comenius University (Czech Republic) and the Institute of Information Systems and Management (ISMA, Latvia). In 2011, the university signed a memorandum of cooperation with George Mason University. In 2015, UIB became the best business university according to the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating of the Republic of Kazakhstan. UIB was the first to introduce 4 unique specialties into its education system to train in-demand specialists after graduating from a bachelor's degree: Economics and Law, Economics and Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Business Administration. In 2017, the UIB opened the World Trade Organization's regional trade policy courses. The University of International Business was chosen from among a large group of competing countries and their elite universities. This confirms the international perception of the development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and also indicates the quality of the higher education system in Kazakhstan, highlighting the leadership of UIB in the business and economic sphere of higher education. The University of International Business is the first university that has been re-accredited by the Austrian Quality Agency (AQA) in the specialties: Economics (bachelor's, master's) and Finance (bachelor's, master's). In 2017, new specialties were introduced: Jurisprudence and SMART technologies, as well as within its specialties, the University of International Business introduced specializations. The UIB is represented by student self-government by the Committee for Youth Affairs (KYM), which deals with youth issues and the implementation of student ideas. Structurally, KDM is divided into several departments: mass cultural, sports, information, research. The KDM also operates a debate and discussion club, a dance club "Tander Step", a student newspaper "UIB TODAY", an information and entertainment project "UIB LIFE", which releases news on the social and entertainment life of UIB every two weeks. The SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise) team has been functioning at the university for 14 years. The SIFE UIB team is a four-time champion of Kazakhstan. At the SIFE Regional Forum of Central Asia and the South Caucasus, the SIFE UIB team received a diploma for the best TIFE educational project and became the first champion of the Central Asian region in the history of SIFE. In 2011 and 2012, the SIFE UIB team again became the champion of Kazakhstan and represented the country at international competitions in Kuala Lumpur and Washington.
