The Humanitarian and Technical Academy (hereinafter referred to as the HTA) is a higher educational institution with the status of a legal entity that implements professional educational programs of higher and postgraduate education. The Academy traces its history back to its formation in 1992 (it was organized as the Kokshetau Higher College of Management and Entrepreneurship). Among the first five non-state universities in Kazakhstan, it was granted a license to conduct educational activities. In 1998, with the opening of the specialties "Finance and Credit", "Marketing and Commerce", "Information systems in the economy". The Higher College of Management and Entrepreneurship was transformed into the Kokshetau Institute of Economics and Management. He was the first in Northern Kazakhstan to open a master's degree in Economics. In the same year, the institute successfully passed the first state certification. Since its establishment, the university has identified such a priority goal as the provision of high-quality educational services. In 2011, by the order of the Committee for Control in the Field of Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 04.08.2011. No. 718 Kokshetau Institute of Economics and Management was transformed into the Humanitarian and Technical Academy (state license AB 0142693 of 04.08.2011).
