For teachers

Business visa (B1) is issued to participants in conferences, symposia, forums, exhibitions, concerts, cultural, scientific, sports and other events; participants in meetings, organizing round tables, exhibitions, meetings of experts; accompanying humanitarian aid; to persons arriving for the purpose of lecturing and conducting classes in educational institutions; to participants in youth, student and school exchange programs, with the exception of training in educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Single entry visa category B1 is issued for up to 90 days, multiple entry B1 - up to 1 year.

An electronic visa (business category) is issued on the basis of a valid invitation from the Kazakh side, issued in the divisions of the migration service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MIA RK) in the prescribed manner.

Business electronic visas are issued to citizens of 18 states: the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, Bermuda, Burundi, Honduras, Greenland, Laoss, Macau (Macau), Morocco, Vatican, Virgin Islands, Haiti, Cambodia, Cuba, Republic of North Macedonia, Nicaragua, Serbia, Montenegro , South Africa.

Foreigners can enter / leave the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan using a valid e-visa only through the checkpoints of the international airports of Nur-Sultan and Almaty.

An electronic visa is issued through the Visa and Migration Portal - https://www.vmp.gov.kz/ru/services.

An e-visa is valid only for the visa recipient, does not apply to accompanying persons and cannot be extended. When replacing a travel document (passport), an electronic visa must be obtained again.

A visa for employment (C3) is issued to persons traveling to the Republic of Kazakhstan, or staying in the Republic of Kazakhstan for the purpose of working, as well as to their family members.

Single entry C3 visa is issued for up to 90 days, multiple C3 visa - up to 3 years or for the period of validity of the permit.

 

For students

A visa for obtaining education (C9) is issued to persons traveling to the Republic of Kazakhstan for the purpose of admission to educational organizations that implement educational curricula of secondary, technical and vocational, post-secondary, higher and postgraduate education; to persons studying in educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, implementing educational curricula of secondary, technical and vocational, post-secondary, higher and postgraduate education, including organized exchange programs for students and passing preparatory courses, as well as members of their families; ethnic Kazakhs who temporarily arrived in the Republic of Kazakhstan and entered educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who arrived under a visa-free regime, as well as members of their families.

Single entry visa is issued for up to 90 days, multiple entry - up to 1 year.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan extends visas of the following categories:

"C3" - on the basis of the request of the inviting party, which has previously issued an invitation to obtain a primary visa, and the availability of a permit for a labor immigrant, if such permission is required in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The extension of the “C3” category visa is carried out for the duration of the permit, but not more than 3 years.

"C9" - on the basis of a petition of the authorized body for education or an educational institution registered in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Extension of the visa is carried out for up to 1 year.

Documents for visa extension must be submitted no earlier than thirty business days and no later than five business days before the expiration of the valid visa.

 

Consular fee:

Single entry visa and its extension - USD 80.
Multiple entry visa and its extension:
1 year - USD 200;
2 years - $ 400;
3 years - $ 600

 

Documents to be submitted for obtaining a visa:

  •  a visa application form for a visa with a color or black and white photograph measuring 3.5 x 4.5 centimeters;
  • when applying for a visa in a foreign establishment of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the number, date of the invitation registered with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan (the number and date of issue of the invitation to the visa recipient is reported by the inviting party), or the application of the recipient of the category of visas (citizens of 48 countries);
  • a valid identity document;
  • the original of the payment document confirming the payment of the consular fee.

 

The list of economically developed, politically and migratory stable states, citizens of which are exempt from the need to present an invitation when applying for visas of categories "B1": 48 countries: Australia, Austria, USA, Belgium, UAE, Bulgaria, Brazil, Germany, Greece, Denmark, New Zealand , Japan, Israel, Jordan, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Canada, Qatar, Cyprus, Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Hungary, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Romania , Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Great Britain, Finland, France, Croatia, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, Estonia.

 

Visa processing time: 5 working days from the date of receipt of all required documents.
