The Kazakh National University of Arts is not only an educational, but a cultural and practical institution that actively participates in the social and cultural life of the capital and the republic as a whole. At the university, students are trained in musical specialties: instrumental performance, traditional musical performance, musicology and art specialties: directing, acting, scenography, painting, decorative art, camera art, etc. The university is a symbiosis of educational and practical activities. The participation of students and teachers in tours, exhibitions, shows, festivals in the cities of Kazakhstan, Europe and America is an integral part of educational activities. On the basis of the University created: Eurasian Student Symphony Orchestra, Kazakh Student Folk Orchestra, Ensembles of Violinists “Caprichchi”, “Aigolek”, Ensembles of Dombrists “Serper” and “Shat”, Ensembles of Kobyzists “Tlep” and “Nazerke”, Ensemble of Cello “Yapurai”, Chamber Choir “Samgau”. Many well-known artists give master classes: Eduard Grach, Maxim Fedotov, Maxim Vengerov, Mikhail Kugel, Giovanni Angiglieri, Pavel Vernikov, Misha Maisky, Fuat Mansurov, Pavel Gililov, Misha Yablonsky and many others. The university is a member of a number of international organizations - the Association of European Conservatories, Academies and Higher Schools of Music (AEC), Magna Charta Universitatum, the Council of Conservatories of the CIS countries, the Kazakhstan Federation of UNESCO Clubs, etc. The university cooperates with universities in China, Italy, Cyprus, Hungary, Spain, Slovenia, Macedonia, USA, Austria and others. The employers of students are the State Opera and Ballet Theater “Astana Opera”, the State Concert Organization “Kazakh Concert”, the State Academic Kazakh Music and Drama Theater named after K.
