Zhetysay

Zhetysay (kaz. Zhetisai) - is a city in Kazakhstan, the center of the Zhetysay district of the Turkestan region. The distance from the city of Turkestan is 393 km. There are cotton-cleaning, beer and bread factories in the city; workshop for the production of vegetable and cottonseed oil. The Tashkent-Syrdarya-Bukhara railway used to pass through the city. The population of the city is 45,049 people.

Zhetysay is one of the hottest cities in Kazakhstan. The city has a sharply continental subtropical climate.
