Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev is one of the leading technical universities in Central Asia. It provides training in the field of Energy, Telecommunications, IT-technologies, Space Engineering, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. The faculty of the university teaches specialists under College, Bachelor's, Master's and PhD programs. Training is conducted in the Kazakh and Russian languages. In 2013, education in English in two specialties: “Radio Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications” and “Electric Power Engineering” was started so far. MISSION. Formation of the best intellectual resources of the national economy of knowledge and the most advanced technologies for the industrial and innovative development of the country, adapted to the conditions of world integration and globalization. Students from other cities are provided with a place in a dormitory. The university has 3 dormitories, which can accommodate over 1600 people. The rooms are designed to accommodate 2-4 students. The sports base of the university includes 5 indoor halls. In the educational building "A" there is a aerobics hall 54m2, an athletics hall 72m2, a wrestling hall 72m2, a volleyball and basketball hall 112m2, a tennis hall 280m2, men's and women's showers and changing rooms. On the territory of the university there is an open sports ground with football, volleyball, basketball fields, a running track around the sports ground. For students, the library has 6 points of library and information services - a subscription, three specialized reading rooms, a hall of electronic resources "Mediateka" and a reading room for extracurricular activities in hostel No. 1.
