Khalel Dosmukhamedov Atyrau university is one of the Universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan that trains competitive specialists of the international level with their own history and experience in the education system. The university was opened on June 14, 1950 as a Teachers ' Institute. In the first academic year, 3 departments were opened at the Institute, and 150 students from 50 students with Kazakh and Russian languages of instruction were accepted in each department. In 1955, the Teachers ' Institute was transformed into a Pedagogical Institute. In 1994, the Pedagogical Institute was established as Atyrau University. This year, the educational institution was named after the outstanding figure, scientist Khalel Dosmukhamedov. The University passed the state certification and received the title of the first regional university in the western region of Kazakhstan. In 2005, a quality management system was introduced aimed at ensuring the competitiveness of the educational institution and the requirements of the world educational sphere. The educational institution has received certificates of ISO 9001-2000 of the organization" Mody International ertification "and the West Kazakhstan branch of JSC" National Center for expertise and certification". In 2007, scientists of the University took part in the exhibition competition "Altyn Sapa", which was held to determine the winners of the award of the president of the Republic of Kazakhstan "for achievements in the field of quality" and received a letter of thanks as an active participant. On September 18, 2009 (Bologna), the Great Charter of universities was signed, which is a sign of the University's ability and rich traditions. In 2010, Atyrau State University named after H. Dosmukhamedov entered the top 600 World Universities united by The Great Charter. As a result, the University became a full participant in the Bologna Process. In accordance with the requirements of the Bologna Process, it ranks sixth among universities in the field of obtaining dual diplomas and completing an educational institution in the shortest possible time. In order to increase the level of employment of graduates and meet orders for qualified specialists, an annual job fair is held, which is attended by representatives of domestic and foreign companies in the region, banks of various levels, responsible persons of the Regional Department of Education.
