Atyrau

Atyrau - is a city in Kazakhstan, the administrative center of the Atyrau region. It is located in the western part of the country, on the banks of the Ural River. The population of the city is 315,274 people.

The city is actively developing. There are many interesting places here. There are 8 bridges in the city connecting the left (Asia) and right (Europe) banks of the Urals. In 2001, a suspension pedestrian bridge dedicated to the 10th anniversary of independence was built, and this bridge, 551 meters long, is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest pedestrian bridge in the world.

There are 3 universities in the city, where 188 foreign students study.

Atyrau is the unofficial oil capital of Kazakhstan. Leading domestic and foreign oil and gas companies and enterprises, oil refineries work here.
