Kostanay

Kostanay - is a city in Kazakhstan, the administrative center of the Kostanay region, located in the north-west of Kazakhstan, north of the Turgai plateau, in the south-western part of the West Siberian Plain, on the Tobol River. The climate is sharply continental. The population of the city is 263,432 people.

There are 367 operating industrial enterprises and 653 enterprises with foreign participation in the city, including mechanical engineering, light industry, production of building materials, etc. From the post-war period to the present, enterprises continue to collect a large amount of grain in the Kostanay region.

Kostanay has its history since the end of the 19th century, in this respect the sights of the city are a symbiosis of past and modern achievements. Thus, the sights of the city include the Regional Museum of Local Lore, the Regional Art Gallery, the Kostanay Cathedral Mosque, the Constantino-Eleninsky Cathedral, the Memorial Museum, theaters and parks, monuments to famous historical figures, etc.
